Play around with some of the other variables here, I especially like setting BluntCritSevereLimbProb to 1. If you don't like the idea of weapons that never lose durability no matter what, you can set the variables to something like 0.5 or 0.2 which will significantly slow down the rate of decay, but not make your weapons last forever. There is a whole lot more you can change just in that one file, but I suggest doing one thing at a time and of course not modifying your original files just in case you mess something up and want to go back. Start game and enjoy weapons that never decay or need repair!.Copy and paste the modified default_levels.xml file to \Documents\DyingLight\out\data\skills - you may have to create these directories manually.Change these values to 0 and save the file, now exit your text editor. Once default_levels.xml is open, search for the word durability and you'll see two variables: BluntWpnDurabilityLoss and CutWpnDurabilityLoss. Dying Light Refurbish How to Restore Repairs and Durability on All Your Weapons Blade Master 1.Go to your desktop and find \data\skills\default_levels.xml and open it with a plain text editor. If you want to play with a friend he have to do the same. Extract SteamApps\common\Dying Light\DW\Data0.pak with 7zip or WinRAR to your desktop. Dying Light Mods Skills Weapon Repair Skill Tweak - Unlimited Repair Weapon Repair Skill Tweak - Unlimited Repair. There may even be something in the game later on that allows one to keep weapons indefinitely, but I still haven't found it. I know there are a couple of skills that make melee weapons decay at a slower rate and make repairs have a chance to not consume repair cycles, but I didn't want to have to constantly worry about not fighting zombies just in order to save my weapons in case I may need them later. Weapons could only be repaired a few times and then they were broken forever - I found this was making me have less fun with the game, so, I fixed it. One of the things that really bummed me out about Dying Light was that there seemed to be no way to keep a weapon I liked for very long. As of 2 Feb, Techland issued a statement saying that the patching out of this and similar mods was an unintended side effect and will be restoring this functionality as soon as they can.) Especially since some, like the legendary quality Timeout, you can't currently get in the game.(Edit: This has been patched out as of 1.2.1. Since there's no repair system in Dying Light 2 as there was in the first game, the Korek Charm is invaluable if you want to keep hold of your favorite weapons for longer. But +500 is enough for any weapon to get its full durability back. If your weapon only has a 175 durability score, for example, it will only repair to 175. It's important to remember you don't actually get an additional 500 durability, that's the maximum benefit. These aren't too difficult to acquire, and we've got a guide to help you efficiently farm Infected Trophies whatever level your character is at. The Korek Charm now costs one rare Infected Trophy to apply, which is more than the original cost of free, but a lot less than the stealthily added 666 scrap from patch 1.2. So before any weapon breaks, do this, it'll be good as new again. I don't mind things breaking, and I like the idea of having to have items and cost to repair, but I HATE the idea that I can only reapir X number time times. But +500 isn't unlimited durability, is it? It isn't, but the beauty of the Korek Charm is that it can be removed and reapplied and you'll get that +500 boost again. Any way to set unlimited repairs anymore Yes I'm early game, and read it gets better, but I just can't stand the repair system in this game. The Korek Charm applies +500 durability to any weapon it's applied to, and it can be equipped to a weapon in all four slots at the same time. Likewise that you can't just get it right at the beginning of the game because it's so powerful it can completely change the game. There's a reason you want the Korek Charm and there's a reason it's not the simplest thing to get hold of.
